5.13 Auto Unlimited Miles???

I would strongly suggest you go with 5.13s if you only plan to run 35s. Been there and done that. Now I am running 37s with the 5.13s and find it a bit disappointing when all I can do is 70mph up hills when I see stock Jeeps fly by me. Head winds will kill you running 4.88s and your OD will be useless. If you ever plan to tow anything, the hills will kill you with 4.88s.
I just came back from the Uintah mountains in eastern Utah via Wyoming and I could never get to 80 mph without having the RPMs at 4000 because of the stupid head winds and the hills were worse. Normal interstate driving, with out head winds, I find that I am running 3400 RPM to keep 75pmh (which is the speed limit) and OD just to high to maintain that speed. I am sure running in flat areas it would be much better. I wish 5.38s were out when I re-geared but I also thought I would never go to 37s either. Wheeling it is not that noticable.
Auto trans + 35" tires + 5.13 gears =

Yeah I have a 6 seed as well. I'm getting 33's soon, and I know I'll only want to go bigger not long after that..... go figure! So re-gearing isn't necessary, but cant hurt huh... Cool thx for the reply.

That's pretty much my average as well. Sometimes I may get close to 14, but that's about the best I've calculated. However, I don't worry about it too much because I didn't get and modify the Jeep for the gas mileage. Besides, I traded in a '99 GMC Yukon for it and that thing got about the same, so it wasn't much, if any, of an adjustment.
