4.56 would not be bad at all, so 4.88 or 4.56. It depends on if you can predict your future. I know I will add weight, and will probably go 37" one day. It is also my "extra" vehicle...that I drive daily. Either way, 4.56+ IMHO. Merry Christmas!

I was in the same place as you last year trying to decide between the two ratios everyone I talked with at garages said 4.88. And they were cheaper than the 4.56. So I said what the hell and went with it and to be honest haven't regreted it yet. I travel a lot with my jeep and it drives great and is amazing on the trail. I have a standard with 35" tires and it's a 2010

If you go to 35's and add anything higher than a 4.88 you will be severly handicapping your offroading abilities with pinion strength. d44/d30 pinions are already limited in their stock state. Just my $.02

Could someone tell me what your RPM would be at 70mph with a manual transmission using 4.56 and 4.88
