Default 44 years old, don't want to much lift, but want to run 33"

I know there are a thousand lift posts but I have a question. I don't want 3 or 4 inches of lift, but I'd like to run 33" tires. My new-to-me Jeep is my only vehicle, and I don't want the ladies to have too much trouble getting in it. I have a 2009 Wrangler X with P245/75/R16 tires. I'd also don't want to have to change drive shafts and all that, if possible. Thanks.

Clay

You should be able to run 33" tires without any lift and very little if any rubbing. You could also get a leveling kit, like the Off Road Evolution 1.5" leveling kit. That should give you all the room you need for 33" tires without rubbing.

You can run 33's with no life if that's what you want. I am doing so right now waiting on my lift. If you do want a lift but just for looks you may want to try a budget boost 2 inches maybe. That will help with 33's if you want to do some light 4 wheeling

Hey Clay,

Check out Teraflex leveling kit. Raises the front 2" and the rear 1". Search forum for threads with 33's. I plan on installing JKU springs and leveling kit. I currently run 255/75/17 BFG factory Rubi wheels and tires.

With flat or trimmed fenders you won't need to lift at all. What kind of off roadin ya do? If none, you could do 33"'s w/o a lift. I ran my 4 door like this for a while, ( with aftermarket rims ) and only rubbed when I gassed it a bit in reverse. I rubbed on the air dam, which could also be trimmed. A leveling kit might be what your after. They lift just the front or the whole thing 1/2"-2 1/2". You won't need to change your driveshaft. Check out the thread " show your 33's ". People will often list what lift they got.

I am running 33" tires on my JK with a 2.5" lift. You can run 33" tires without a lift... but I think a lift makes it look better, and wheel better. Plus... a 2.5" lift won't be too hard for the ladies to get into and they will like the bigger Jeep anyways .

Before I got into a 3" susp lift, a good affordable route that's easy to install is Daystar's 1-3/4" poly coil spacers. Not much needed, give your JK a little height

If I was you I'd throw a teraflex leveling kit under there, only like 130 bucks and it will give you plenty of room.
