if you're willing to chop your factory fenders, you can get away with about 5"-6" of lift. and, regardless of the amount of lift you have, you will need to do some body trimming as well - or, at least if you plan on wheeling your jeep. IMHO, 60's are a must to run 40's and you will need to run new aftermarket driveshafts. as far as install goes, it all depends on what all you do to get to where you need to be.
