Yea, I figured out pretty quick that the computer was wildly optimistic. I just jot down the odometer reading on the receipt and I keep all the receipts in one envelope.

I have 3.73's and 305x70x16 TA's at the moment. I seem to consistently get 14.5 mpg in town and about 16 on the freeway( if there is no wind). It seems to me that the main reason for the variance in mpg in stock jeeps is the driving style/speed. I personally drive FAST and rarely do under 75 on the freeway. in town I dont speed but Ill do jackrabbit starts.
I wonder how the OP and others drive that are getting 17+ in town and 19+ freeway

I've found that the more accurately I've dialed in my Superchip tune with proper gearing, tire height, etc., my computer avg mpg reading is much more accurate.

i have 18k miles on my unlimited rubi. best i have seen was 16mpg going west on I 10 across florida . Stock rubi kms with a 2.5 coil lift <tera>. Overall adv fuel has been 14.5 mpg for the 18k . Hwy driving is always gps set at 8 over the speed limit on cruise. thats running the SC flash pac on 87 oct , a k&n drop in filter and my own mandrel be 2.5 straight exhaust.
this kind of mileage makes me say at 36k its time for a diy hemi cause it will get as good if not better mileage and after the bumper to bumper war is gone what do i need a mini van motor for ?
btw its a 6sp

Usually, by the time you put a lift of any size, the stock geometry has changed. In most cases, this also affects the small front rake you see on stock vehicles. Although not significantly, I'm sure this can affect fuel mileage some. When I went from stock to a 4" RC lift, I noticed a little more wind noise on the header, but no real change in fuel economy.

2010 Wrangler Sport with 33x12.5 tires, Superchips Flashpaq, K & N Cold Air Kit and MBPR performance exhausts. Averaging between 16.8 and 17.3 MPG City driving. Without the Superchips, Cold Air Kit and exhausts was getting around 15.3 MPG. BTW no lift yet.
