4 inch Rough country lift kit, need anything else?

so many variables here, im guessing you got just a basic kit. What do you intend to do with your rig? Also many people are going to start asking what tire size you plan on running and that you should go with a smaller lift...That being said, there kits have a bad rep, but as I said it depends on what you want to do with your rig. It may be perfect for you, or it may need lots of help. This question has been asked tons, im sure theres many threads on this.

Some past threads mentioned RC springs sagging quickly over time.
If you have the same kit pictured below then you would probably need:
-An aftermarket front driveshaft to give you clearance from the exhaust crossover pipe. Some will say to get exhaust spacers. When I ran the spacers it provided the clearance for the driveshaft but I still had to add washers on the skid plate to prevent the pipe from vibrating against the skid. Also if you plan on running an aftermarket catback exhaust the spacers may cause the down pipe to vibrate against the cross member because it pushes the pipe further down causing some clearance issues.
-Front sway bar links/quick disconnects if you plan to take your jeep offroad. The kit will probably say to move your rear links up front.
-Front adjustable control arms that will allow you to set your caster to help improve the handling of your jeep and do away with the flightiness. I would opt not to use their cam bolts because it requires you to cut out that piece on your chassis. Later on down the road if you plan to run aftermarket control arms you would have to get that hole welded. Plus the cam bolts have been known to loosen up over time.
-Drag link flip kit / adjustable front track bar. Rather than using their pitman arm / track bar bracket. Using longer pitman arms have been known to put too much stress on the steering box that may cause issues.
Other than that you could get by with the lift kit. But following the suggestion above May prevent you from having to re-do things again...
Best of luck

I have 37's tube fenders, 2.5 budget boost, 1.25 body lift now. I dont go crazy when i offroad. I just do basic trails. But the land i go offoading on has a few areas with bumps/ditchs and i always rub. So the kit was a xmas present. If its needed i'll get the drive shaft. Just wanted to see what all was needed with the kit it advance so i could order it. Thanks for the info guys and merry christmas! And i def dont wanna cut/grind off that hole. I'd rather just buy new lower control arms if that'd eliminate the problem? Should i cancel the order and either piece a kit together or get another one?

I would cancel the order and look into something else.
I offer this thread as a guide on what to look for in a lift and to better familiarize yourself with your suspension.

Good luck with the build and welcome to the forum.

Im running a 3.5' lift with flat fenders and 35's. More than enough lift for 90% of trails and less stress than a 4' kit. Control arms were one the best upgrades along with good FOX shocks or equivalent with anything over 3'. My 02. Cents

thats the lift i am looking at now. I really dont do anything crazy. I'm thinking of getting a good 2.5/3.5 lift and running a .5 spacer for the weight of my bumper/winch in the front. And then getting rear tube fenders.

if you get a good lift you shouldnt need a coil spacer for extra weight...

This is the lift that I have. I have added the adjustable control arms that made the biggest difference. I don't off road rough and haven't needed to lengthen the drive shafts or put in spacers and everything is working fine. I'm running 35's. I guess lifts are like other things you live and learn. I would choose a lift with upper and lower control arms.
