wolf sorry I don't know to link you question to the reply...Anyway I have an auto. But I can tell you that in hilly country it wants to shift out of overdrive a lot. I usually keep the overdrive shut off..I don't think it would be so bad if the throttle responce wasn't so lowsy...hope that answers your question..

Are those your stock rims? Are they 18's?

has anyone thrown on a 4" with out a DP arm? i'm curious as to why they need them...the TJ's didn't for anything less than six. i know, it's not a TJ, but still.
stumpman79, you can take a look at your steering linkage, if your draglink is parallel to you track bar, you won't have any issues with bumpsteer. did your kit come with a track bar bracket, or adj. track bar? a bracket will usually require a dropped pitman arm to compensate, where as an adj. track bar won't.

The 4 doors do not require them, so anyone with a four door has done it.

You are correct its not the drive shafts. That info was given to me by David at Northridge4x4... that guy knows his shit. Any questions call him at 360-340-0282. By the way did you Skyjacker lift come with a drop pitman arm. Mine did not. The wholesaler I bought it from told me it was recommended not required. Which is bull because I called Skyjacker and they told me not to drive the jeep without it. Its been on a lift for 2 weeks waiting for the drop pitman arm to come in.
I had my lift installed at the dealer. I really can't tell if the pitman arm is new with the lift or still stock. It does drop and come over the front stablizer bar.

This is true and is probably the reason for the discrepancies of experiences.

One of the reasons I liked the SuperLift kit is the adjustable track bar comes std. I prefer that to a drop bracket.
