The guy from G2 Axle said 4.88 was best for factory specs and that 5.13's might be to aggressive

All I can say that if you end up going with the 4.88s, you're only going to wish you went with the 5.13s

I'm currently on 33s with 5.13s. Went with the 5.13 because I plan on moving up to 37s once I get everything built right. I'm hitting about 2600rpm at 70mph on the GPS which is about perfect IMO on the highway

Doh! Missed that this was for an automatic. I agree with this.

I think you picked the right setup. I have an auto w/35's and 5.13's Spins about 2300 at ~70 mph. Lots of big hills here so it makes a huge difference there. Average about 14-15 mpg (mostly city) so ok but hell it is just a big brick rolling. You'll be happy with them!

I think the 5.13 with 315s/35s is the right gear. This is what I have on my 2011 Rubicon automatic. My mpg is around 14.0-14.3 currently with a root top tent and gobi rack installed. Very happy.

Originally, I had the stock tires and the 5.13s and was not happy, after adding the lift and bigger tires, the gearing feels right.

I am still shocked at how many jeepers don't mind running 3:73 gears. You will over work your engine and trans. And do damage over time. Like the quote "I just can't do it captain...I don't have the power".

It has a lot to do with your situation. I rarely tow anything, the terrain here is flat, and I usually don't get above 50mph. My '11 JKU on 37" tires gets 15mpg on 4.10s. Would anyone else regear?
