Wow, what a useful thread. Learned more than I thought possible, and looks like I will go with the 5.13's soon in my Rubicon on 35's....but surely all gears are not created equal...is there a particular manufacturer of choice and also, one(or more) to avoid?

When I check out the chart from JKjunkie, it appears I should run 5:13's with a auto and 33's, which allows me to run 35's later and still be in the best band width, am I right?

5:13 all the way with 35" tires and a auto mine runs great
