4.10 Gears-6 Speed-35's..Should I Regear??
I have the 4.10 and 35" tires and im undecided if i want to get 4.88 gears. I have the 6 speed tranny just wondering how much I will gain with new gears.

think you might ever go 37s? if not 4.88s would be perfect. Personally I would put the $1200 +/- into something else unless you are doing a lot of highway driving

Not lots of highway driving. Probably 75% offroad 25% onroad. Mostly trails and hills, sand dunes 0nce a year. Not ever going to 37" tires. Im just curious what everybody else is running with this setup.

i had the same set up (4.10, 6-speed, 35's) and just went to 4.88's this weekend. i love the new gears.i haven't been on the highway yet but the jeep feels so much better now.i would like to see what the 5.13's are like though.

The only person that knows if you need to regear is you. I wish I could have standed my jeep with 35s and 4.10s. I could have saved $1200 and left my Jeep stock. I have an auto though. The 5.13s gave it the extra oomph it needed from the factory IMO! If you like overdrive, and your Jeep driving like it does stock, regear. If you don't mind the way it drives and the extra strain on your drivetrain than leave it stock. Only you can decide.

i have a 6 speed with 35s and i plan regearing in the summer.. i plan on putting 456s in it because i do alot of highway driving, i have 3.21s in there right now and it is tolerable, 6th isnt much use on anything but a flat interstate at about 70ish.
can someone with 4.88s and a 6 speed chime in and tell me how their jeep performs on the highway please?
thanks alot.

i would suggest going 5.13's. if you're gonna upgrade to 4.88's you might as well go up the next step. just save a little bit more money and put it down. imo, it would probably save you money later if you feel the need to regear again.
im planning on getting 4.88's soon, and 5.13's eventually. just for the extra little kick in the pants. im running the stock 3.something's and im buying 34's with 2.5" maybe 3" of list soon, so i need to regear asap.
