Default 4.10 with 37's

i am just wondering if it is possible to run 37's with 4.10 in a automatic. i don't really have the money for regearing and tires right now but have a pretty good deal on tires right now so i would like to jumo on it. obviously this is not gonna be permanent. i see guys on here running 3.73 with 35's just curious if any had driven 37's on 4.10 and what was it like? remember i have an auto also a unlimited rubicon. thanks for all the help.

if you drive a lot of highway i would say no. i have an auto with 35's and 4.10's and i have no power above 60. it's very hard on inclines as well. around the city i can't really tell the difference. 37's are also a big investment as a lot of other money will go into beefing up your axles and getting enough room in the wheel wells.

We had no real issues.... we just upgraded to 5.13's only because we're moving. I would suggest getting a Superchips if you plan to stay with the 4.10's on 37's

this is good info as I will be runing 37's before I can afford to regear with 4:10's and an automatic. I am guessing most just turn off OD

Even with OD off my 35s were horrible going up steep hills with 4.10s, now with 5.13s all is good

I think what they mean is to fit 37's you need like a 4" lift. If you have a 4" lift you probably will need driveshafts, control arms etc. You can fit 35's with a cheap 2.5" lift and not much else but 37's are much tougher unless you are really creative.

I have 37's on my 4dr Rubi with 410's and an auto. All I have to say is get the Superchip flashpak!! Before, it was barely tolerable. Like you tho, I don't ahve 1500+ for a gear swap, but bought the Flashpak off Northridge for 308 shipped.
Now, I have no desire, whatsoever, to get gears. I have plenty of power running around town, and have 0 problem sticking 75 on the interstate. I live in WV too, so it's not exactly flat around here, and the hills are no problem now.
The only downfall would be the mpg. Before the tuner, I was only getting about 11.8 mpg on average manually calculated. Now, with the 93 tune, I have average about 14.5 mpg with mostly city driving, about 80/20. (Getting 13.7 on the 87 tune)
To answer your question, yes it can be done. Spend the 300 on the Superchip, get a K%N drop in filter for 50 bucks and call it a day!!

so by the sound of it as a temporary thing it is to be driveable for a while i have the superchip programer already a k&n filter plus a snorkel. i think before i throw them on though i have to replace some stuff in the steering. like wheel bearings. i have 60,000 miles on it and have not replaced any of that yet.
