Default 38's on 4 inch lift?

I'm thinking of running the Evo 4 inch long arm lift with flat fenders. My question is do you think I can fit 38x14.5R17 MTR/K tires. If so what backspacing? If someone here has this set up please post some picks. Thanks for any help.

you can fit them, you'll have to trim the pinch seam and probably run wheels with 3.5 backspacing so that you don't rub or use spacers because those are some WIDE tires.

You are almost better off going with a 37" or a 40" tire because of the narrower width, those 38" tires are wiiiiide for a stock axle, running spacers can eventually lead to unit bearing failure on extra wide set ups. Hell 38"s are wide on a full width Dana 60. With 37"s, 40"s and some 39"s you will have much less rub issues when turning lock to lock. The pinch seams are an easy trim job with a reciprocating saw. Bump stops are cheap and easy to adjust for the amount of full up travel and stuff into the fender wells you will require.

Hey thanks GCM. Ya I think I'm gonna run the 37's for a while until I get some coilovers then I'll upgrade on tire size.
