37s Stock 3.73 Gears?
Hi guys..im gonna run 37s reguardless but i was curious if people have experience running 37s on 3.73 gears. I plan on running it that way for a year until i hav enough to regear but am looking for some real world experience on how it drives on the road. Thanks

It will suck like nothing has sucked before.
Seriously, if all you do is drive in town, it will be mainly the loss of power that will suck. On the highway is where it will truly blow. No OD was unacceptable to me. Mileage was less than 12mpg. With regear I'm around 15...and that's with 35's.
Lots of guys drive on stock gears for a year or more. Just know your mileage will suffer and you won't be able to pass gas.
Having said that...I'd like 37's too.

.
I just installed 37's on my jeep with 3:73 gears. I, like you, thought I would wait it out on re-gearing. NOT POSSIBLE. I went on a run this last weekend and had to use 4-lo just to get enough torque to go up a kiddie hill. Not only that, but you will get fuel knock like no tomorrow as the engine is straining like mad to get above 1000 RPM. You will need gears immediately.

I think Way of Life ran 37s on stock gears for a small amount of time. It has got to be flat out terrible though. I am thinking of regearing after 35s then at least when i go to 37s gussets sleeves gears and lockers will all be ready to roll. I hit the trails almost weekly so its pretty important to not overload that vulnerable d30
