Default Stock D30 with 37s

My stock D30 lasted two years with 5.13 gears and 37" MT/R Ks. Until last weekend when I grenaded the driver's side wheel u-joint and tore up the axle shaft. Time for a Dynatrac 44 from Northridge. My D30 will live on under my Comanche.

Nice rig!

I think my gears are 3.73. so I will defiantly need to upgrade to 5.13 right?

Im leaning towards the 35's because my knowledge is close to nothing when it comes to moving parts on a car/truck/jeep/etc..

Thanks for all the input though!

2" PA body lift
Rough Country 2.5 BB
Cut flares

Less than $300 for the above and am running 37's in the rocks.

This helped me out. It is a nice little calc to compare what you are running now to another gear ratio. There are many like this out there. Here is one example.

I'm running 37" km2's with 4.5" Clayton and haven't had any issues. Eventually you will need to upgrade yes,Depending on the wheeling you do. but as a DD not entirely necessary. Wait till its broken then throw a 44 or 60 in.

i went with 4:88's ,,, but live in louisiana ,, and the land is very flat.. can run 70 with overdrive on and never have it shift out

I also have another set of tires and rims that i run most of the time.. 35x12.50 bfg KO's,, on 15x10 procomps... helps a little with gas mileage

I have been fine so far. I do have an extra set of front axles incase something does happen. I do have the ORE "C" gussets and the diff is open with 3.73 gears. I dont want to drop $$$ into a D30 that still has a tiny R&P. When this axle goes I will get a PR44 and re-gear at that time as well as upgrade to an ARB and chromo shafts.
