37's with 3" lift - possible?

actualy i follow 2 door jeeps with 5 to 6" lift and 35". in some places i'm advantaged and in some i'm disadvantaged with the 4 door. i've got flex pictures i'll post in the neer future and if i rung your bell with my jeep

I don't know what you are running but I'll bet your wheels are outside your fenders or either you don't have fenders.

You missed the point. I am full width currently and need to cut the axles down, for next season, because they are about 6" too wide right now...

Average comp rock buggy has around 21" of clearence at the belly. Any more than that leads to vehicles being too top heavy.

I'd like to see pictures of your JK in the rocks.

Below is a shot of my last toy ('80 K5 w/ CUCV axles and 44" Boggers). The 44" Boggers were cleared by 4.5" total lift and cut fenders. Extra lift doesn't buy any thing unless you are playing in mud. My JK is still being built up, but its 37's will see rocks for the second time this weekend.

if you want to cut up your new jk it's fine with me. i had the 2.5 terraflex spacers and it wasn't enough to follow my friends so i bought the rockkrawler 5.5 longarm put it on there and left the spacers on. it gives me 22" clearance to the gas tank skid, and now i could go with the crew i hang out with, and i'm happy

Post away............you didn't ring my bell, this aint my first rodeo. I was trying to show that its better to run a 3 inch lift and 37's and build a flat belly pan and raise things that hang under your jeep rather than just lifting the whole jeep an extra 5 inches. I certainly didn't think that way when i first started wheeling, but ive learned a thing or two since then and I wanted to share it with others so they don't make the same mistakes I did, thats what this whole forum is about. (learning from one another) Now if you were running 44" tires on an 8 inch lift, that would be a different story.

your right about a flat belly but right now the clearance i'm getting is just good to follow the short wheel base jeeps, but it sure would be nice to raise the gas tank flush with the frame and make a flat skid under there. but you'd be surprised how stable my ride is even with this lift

Now you're talking. Just a few more trips and I think mine WILL be flush. Not smoothe, but flush. Ivery time I scrape across a rock I gain more clearance for free.

yea that gas tank skid will smash up there allright, and i don't know why they stuck it so low
