Default 37's with 3" lift - possible?

On another forum, someone said you can run 37" tires with a 3" lift if you replace the fender flares with tube-type fenders. I would really like to take this route if possible. Of course, I will do other needed things - 5.13 gearing and 17" wheels with 3.5" of backspacing. I don't mind other trimming, if it has to be done.

Anyone here think this is feasible? can anyone see a problem with this?

100DollarMan knows. I think he added 3/4" spacers. I'd pm him.

Wrestling a Grizzly Bear is also possible, but not a good idea.

It is feasible. I see no problems as long as you are willing to remove any body material in the way.

On my last toy, before the JK, I ran 44" Boggers on a 1 ton K5 Blazer with only 4" of lift and drastically trimmed / bobbed fenders.

With tube fenders you will not have a problem, there is someone on here that is running 37's on a 2" lift with tube fenders..

You will have to trim the pinch seam in the rear wheel well, and either run an aftermarket front bumper, or space the factory front bumper out an inch, and either trim the air dam, or remove it all together.

Actually I have been thinking about taking this approach myself, and lowering the jeep an inch and running my 37's

You can set your bump stops accordingly so they dont rub at full flex.
