Default 37s and 3" FT Ultimate?

I was wondering if I could upgrade to 37" with the Full Traction 3" Ultimate lift or will I need tube fenders?

I know that they recommend 35s, but I thought I would see if any one has already done it.

Also, think I will need to upgrade the 4.10 gears if I go to 37s?

i have tired it and can tell you that you will need high clearance fenders or at bare minimum, a 1" spacer lift and 1" body lift.

Thanks. I would much rather go with the fenders. It is hard enough for me to get my short legs in the darn thing as it is.

X2, you will need more lift for 37's. I run 37's with 4.5" lift and would'nt want to go any lower.

You may just make it with Tube Fenders and 3" lift. Maybe.

there used to be a company (who is now defunct) that made tube fenders and i saw them run 37's with just a 2" budget boot. with 3" of lift, you can definitely do it so long as you are fenderless or have high fenders.

Any advice on what gears I should be running with 37s?

if 5.38's were available, i would say that but being that 5.13's is the best you can do, that's what i would recommend.

I figured I would have to upgrade since I can already tell a difference with the 35s while on an incline out on the highway. (I haven't notice too much difference while out on the trail).

Also, should I beef up the axels? If so, any suggestions on Mfgs?

Again, any and all input is greatly appreciated!!!

yeah, beefing up the axles with chromoly shafts is something that you should do. up front, i would recommend the alloyusa shafts as they are easy to install and don't require new axle seals to be installed. in the rear, you can go with superior.
