37s on a 2 door. A few questions for those running it.
I'm starting mods on my new jk and I'm slightly torn on what size lift to get for 37s on a two door. I'm going with Rock Krawler and initially I was going to get the 2.5 but since they now have different rated setups for the 2 and 4 door now I'm not sure the 2.5 would give as much lift as previously with the older RK springs. Anyone running the new springs in either 2.5 or 3.5 on the 2 door? how much lift did you net? I ordered the 3.5 xx factor with rrd shocks but I've got a bit of time to change it if need be if I change my mind and decide on the 2.5. I'm not a hardcore wheeler but the jeep will see trails several times a year.
Second for those with 37's who haven't regeared with the 3.6 was it terrible or manageable until you regeared. Just wondering kinda what to expect if anyone is running 37s on 3.73s. I will regear eventually but just kinda wanna know what to loook forward to lol.
Thanks!

I just installed the 3.5 and 37s a couple days ago. I'm waiting on driveshafts. My previous rig had 37s and 4.10s with a manual. It drove ok, 6th gear was lame but was manageable. I'm not sure how much lift I got in total but am sure happy I chose the 3.5 X factor. Just need to install my fenders and I'll be good to go. Good luck!

I had 35s with 3.73 gears on a 6 speed and I hated it. Just on the highway though. When I had 37s I went with 4.88 gears and that was perfect. Basically, it will suck until you regear. It will also kill you MPG. Excessive gear changes and inefficient RPMs. My MPGs went up when I went to 37s and had the correct gearing.
As for lift, may as well save up for driveshafts. They won't last long with that much lift.
I'm not going to explain this topic again (search my posts as I have done it at least 5 times), but lift height has nothing to do with tire clearance. Especially for the RK 2.5 vs 3.5. If you get the taller lift, it offers no benefit while causing premature driveline wear and poor handling. Oh, and a higher center of gravity.

Thanks for the input. I'll do ball joints and tierod as they wear out. No sense replacing them while they're good tho. I've got 2 factory drag links lying around so I'm good there unless I flip it. Am I right in assuming the new 2.5 springs from rock krawler aren't netting as much lift as the older ones?
Invest did you have the 3.8 or the 3.6?
I've done 35s and loved the 37s on my old jku so yeah I'd say it's worth it for me. I know if I get 35s I'm just gonna want 37s.

I read a thread on wrangler forum yesterday the guy had went from the first gen rk 2.5 springs and said he got an additional .75" up from and .25" in the rear with the new triple rate springs from them.
