With the 3.8L engine you would really need to. It would drive but it would have no performance.

No, you would not HAVE to re gear. Lots of idiots are running around on 37's and stock gears. I even saw a dumbass say once that 4.10's with 40's was fine on an 08 automatic.

hmmm...wonder who that could be.

I'm slumming it with 4.10's and 37's, but the 6 speed makes it slightly more bearable. I'm still going with 4.88's when I'm done with all my other projects.

I guess this person never drives anywhere that has a hill. My 08 with an automatic hates going up I-70 west of Denver, CO.

Running 4:10's in my '08 auto right now on 37's. It does alright until i hit a hill on the highway. Will be upgrading to 4:88's or 5:13's. Any opions on which would be better for alot of trail riding and moderate summer driving? Thanks

Hah! My 08 Rubi hated going up that when it was new and stock :o
If you have mountains or hills on or off road I can't imagine the 3.8 being fun unless you are driving an automatic with a RubiCrawler in the tail housing
