I was wondering if anyone (and I'm sure there are plenty) was running 37" MTR's? I have 37" BFG km2's and they measure 35.5 when there siting on my jeep. I was wanting a bigger tire a I was told the MTR's measure true to there advertised size. I was hoping someone could please measure a MTR mounted on there jeep!

MTR's don't measure true to their size, unless the 37" is somehow different from a 35" in that regard. My 35's (315/75/16x8.5) are set to 33.75" in Superchips, and it's 99.89% accurate according to Garmin GPS. I doubt you can find any tire that measures true to their size.

I owned a set of 35x12.5x17 MTR kevlars and they were by far larger and truer to the 35 size then all the other guys I wheel with ( 34.6 height) Maybe the 315 are wider vs taller I assume the 37x12.5x17 are similar " taller instead of wide"

I run 37x12.50x17 with 8.5" wide beadlocks on my JKUR. They measure out at 36.3" on Jeep @29psi; rig weighs ~6,000lbs. They are pretty close to 37" on the spare without weight. They are definitely taller than my buddies 37" BFG MT's.

Yeah agree I always thought MTRs are taller then other companies on the same size catorgery

Thanks everyone! I would love some 40" BFG's but there's no way it's going to happen at 800.00 a tire. I was thinking Goodyear 37's would be the way to go for a bigger tire without breaking the bank, I'm not sure if it's worth the $ if I'm only going to gain an inch......

Ever check out the price of a Yokohama Geolanders MT 38x13x17

Just looked on DTD and no 38" tires listed for 17" rims, but they have a 40x13.50 for 383.00 which is really cheap. Have you ever ran these tires?

I own a set of 38x13.5x17 and yeah they aren't bad. Loud tire and but I like them a lot. If your running them in snow and ice I suggest to cipe them though.
The 40's are about $7.00 more per tire.

I run the 37 x 12.5 MTR on a 17 X 8" wheel. 30 psi

They measure 36.5"
