I was giving my opinion. If you don't like it then dont read it. Every person running a 315/70/17 calls it a 35" tire. But I'm sure the whole forum would love to change that for you.

As for how the Bfg performs. There great in winter but terreble in mud.

Sorry, I jumped the gun. I re-read the postings and see how it can be read differently. I also refer to my 315-70-17 as 35s as well....but that's just to not add fuel to my nerdy accountant look by saying "they're acutally 34.4 inches in diameter"

To the OP, I had the 37 BFG AT on my F150. They rode great, were quiet, and easy to balance. But that was also on a much heavier 4 door 4wd model running at 32 psi.

All good man. Fun thing is as much as I don't like it in the mud I was thinking of getting it in a 37 since I DD it.

For what it's worth, I put the Goodyear Duratracs on my Jeep and they kick the BFGs butt. They are quieter, do better in wet and ice, and the limited off roading they've seen has been great. And when I say quiet, I mean that the tires on standard cars passing me is louder than the very slight sound these have. It's insane to think no noise comes from a tire that aggressive looking.

X2 I've run duratracs on a dually and now my wrangler and loved them on both.

If they came in 37's I wouldn't have a set of toyo mt's in my garage.

Default Bfg

I am using my second set of BFG AT's in 315 75 16. I like them well enough but will look for a slightly bigger tire to slow down my highway rpm's. They are E rated so the ride is a little rough in my unlimited.

I really am thinking my best option is the BFG in 37 for highway with 4.88 gears to keep RPM down for better MPG. OR I would go with the duratracs in 315.

37s may be the ticket for you with 4.88s. I have the 315 Duratracs and 4.10 gears with an automatic. At 70, I'm sitting right about 1900 rpms. I'll be re-gearing but only after my internal debate between 4.88, 5.13s, and if I can justify a PR 44 or not.

Post back after you get them. I'm interested to see how the 4.88s and 37s do on the highway.

This is the route I am considering.
