Default 36" Tires

Looking for the various makers of a 36". 16.0" - 16.5" wheel. I know about Interco, anyone else?

Has anyone tried a 36" on a TeraFlex 2.5BB and spacers?

Thank you

Something you may not have considered - H1 Hummer tires. They're called 37x12.50x16.5 but probably aren't quite that tall. Treadwright even retreads them and they supposedly measure out at 36.7", according to their site. And only $145.

If you decide to do 16.5's, what are you going to do for wheels?

Not really sure about the wheels. I assume your making reference to the odd size? I came up with 16.5 as that is what Interco is showing for their 36's. Right now I just need to find who is making (other then interco) a 36.

I have the Sahara 18's now and want to drop down. 17's could work. This is the style I am interested in. Kind of an old style American Racing wheel.

I could go with 37's if there is anything out there that could simply add an 1" to my current lift mentioned above. I have been off this forum for a while and out of touch in regard to whats available these days

36's seem to be an odd ball size nowadays. BFG makes the KM 2 in a 345/75r16. https://www.jk-forum.com/forums/show...-this-size-yet Not too many choices tho.

I love my set up which is similar to what Planman suggested and it works VERY well.

If I were looking at a 36, I'd get a 36x13.50R15 Radial IROK and run it on a 15x10 wheel with 4" or less backspacing.

This is how to run taller than 35s on a 2.5" lift:

Along with that..... MOST 16.5" rims are made specifically for load range E tires and lack the safety bead of passenger car rims. (with the exception being ugly stock steel 6-7" rims) So, unless you are going to run beadlocks inside and outside on the rim, you can forget about running them less than the specified 75-80 psi. Otherwise you risk dismounting them. You'll also have a hard time with the bolt pattern in that size. Most are 8lug.
