Default 35x13.5 on 15x8s?

It seems tire shops don't want more then about a 4 inch width difference between your tires and wheels. They already don't think 12.5s should be mounted on 8 inch wide wheels but a lot of us do it anyway. What do you guys think about putting a 13.5 wide tire on an 8 inch wide wheel?

Yeah, the 35" toyo mt for a 15" wheel are 13.5s. I'd rather have 12.5s but I really like the toyo mt's and they don't have a 35x12.5x15.

I have had a 13.5 on an 8.5 wheel with no issues and also a 14.5 tire on a 8.5 wheel with no issues.

Was it on a DD or a designated wheeler?

Anyone have pics of a 13.5" wide tire on an 8" wide wheel? Or do you have pics of your 14.5 on the 8.5 Edmond?

I run a 35x12.50 on a 7.5" rim and honestly I wouldn't run it on anything narrower. The sidewall sits very flat, although I haven't had any problems and the tires are wearing great. The main thing you need to pay attention to is air pressure. You want it low enough that the tire has a flat contact patch with the road

Yeah, with my current 33x12.5 on my 8 inch wheels, I'm running around 27psi. I need to get a pro cal so my stupid tpms light isn't always on.
If I had 8.5" wide wheels I'd be less worried about running a 13.5" tire, but I also heard that 15 inch wheels grip the bead better than other sizes.
I don't know. Maybe I'll just have to go with a different tire that has a 12.5" option.

I would say trail grapplers, but not sure if they make them in 15". I have never checked
