If you think 33's will solve the problem, your fooling yourself.

it does cost dough to change gears.......im about pay about 2 g's to get mine changed. i find that to be a little steep, but there arent many places around where i live that i trust to tear into my brand new jeep.

Save your money...skip the 33s. Go with the 35s, and go with 4.88s or 5.13s. I have 4.88s and I am extremely happy with them. At 65 mph im pulling 2600 rpms which is great for my purposes. Some say 5.13s but its all about preference. Mine is a DD and 5.13s are too low for my tastes.

You could also run 34x10.50 Super Swamper LTB's ! I have 3.73 gears and that's what I run and I have all the power in the world. On road and off. Check them out I went them because I didn't want to have change my gears either!

jksmith- as stated above; if u dont plan on the cost for the gear upgrade (i paid 1500) along w/ the 35s/lift ect ...then save all ur money and leave the jeep stock, u will be happier...at least I know I would have been.

Here's my .02. Buy the 35's for the trail, but run the stockers during the week. Then when you can afford to regear, you can slap the 35's on full time.
I figure when I put on the 36" swampers sitting in the back of my pickup, I will probably effectively make my tranny a 3-speed rather than a 4-speed.
