If you had a 6 speed I would say you were fine. With an auto and the lack of power you will have with the bigger tires, you will hurt your trans with all the shifting it will be doing to try and find power. Without a doubt regear.

I'd get the gears before the tires, I believe in function over vanity.
5.13's for 35 and 37's.
Best way to go.

Yeah agreed I really meant that gearing is very important when considering 35's, I wouldn't do one without the other.
I wish I did mine at the same time.

I have an automatic with 35s and stock 3.73s, I have to manually downshift to make it up a hill on my way home from work, I will be doing 4.88s very soon!

i am temporarily running stock 3:73's with 35's and it sucks. whats funny is, when i first put the 35's on and drove, i thought that it wasnt that bad. it didnt take long for me to realize that it IS that bad. i was about to get the ball rolling on my 5:13's this week, but i had to put my machine in the shop for all kinds of lights on the dash. it ended up being an "abs module" and im getting it back tomorrow morning. im going to call the shop to order my gears tomorrow as soon as i get back from picking up my jeep.
