Whoa...

why wouldn't you just put the tent on the ground?

 

just a few of the benefits to having it on the roof, is that:
1- Up off of the cold ground (better insulated)
2- Away from animals and critters
3- Easiest setup since the poles are already inside
4- There's a mattress that fold up with it
5- you can keep all bedding and few clothes in the tent when folded up
6- saves space in the vehicle if there is little room
7- it's cool
8- the breeze from the trees and being up so high is incredible.

 

I have the JKU now. The yellow one in my profile pick. I will always own a wrangler.
