35's and my 2012 JKU auto

Yeah you absolutely do not have to re-gear a '12 w/ 3.73s. I have 4.10s w no complaints at all. 3.73 like stated you may feel a lil sluggish on steeper grade hills.
4.56s would be perfect IMO, but unless you have $$ to burn re-gearing would be last on my list of mods.

I've got a 2012 JKU auto with the 3.73 gears and I'm running 315/75/17 duractracs that measure to around 34 and a quarter inch. Before you regear get an AEV procal to adjust for tire size. It will help alot with your highway performance (won't keep looking for the right gear). It will also correct your MPGs and speedo for an accurate reading). I've been wanting to gear up, but I can't justify going to a 4.1 and I think a 4.56 is to much just yet for the tire size I'm running with the 12.
I've got an '11 Rubi running stock 4:10's and I'm running 37's only because I got an incredible deal on them. The only time I'm not a fan of that is on the highway. It's great when it's in 4th gear and not windy for the gas mileage. I did run 35's for almost a year with no problems. If I ever get the extra cash and time and find a couple people to help, I plan to gear to 4:56's because I do mainly highway driving and don't want to have high rpm's for the sake of gas.

Slight as in 1-2 MPG less? I plan on doing some trips with this thing too, not just tooling around Tucson and the desert. 35's look best IMO, but it needs to be fairly comfortable on the freeway/highway.

Is yours a daily driver? I'm sure there's got to be SOMEthing you don't like as much as stock (besides noise). Care to share? Thanks for your suggestion!
I new I was buying a jeep, and like everything more than it was stock by far except the 70mph range on the highway being several mpgs less. Noise isn't an issue with my Duratracs. I don't want or need MT's as I spend most of my time in the mountains not on the farm, and still have been through some pretty nasty ruts with the duratracs. I wish I had the stock 4.1 but the 3.73 isn't terrible with 35's. Hondas get gas mileage, but jeeps go anywhere! When I make the jump to a 4.5 inch lift and true 35/12.5s, I'm going to go to the 4.56 R&P. Any bigger is overkill on the 2012. A Lot of guys with 11's and older preach about the 4.88 and 5.13's, but the 12 doesn't need that untill your in the 39in club. Bear in mind this is talking about Auto's and not a manual.

The only person I have ever heard say something bad about spacers is a person who didn't torque them right, and a wheel dealer. Spidertrax are balanced, and don't throw off the balance of a wheel. They just move it out an inch in a half
