Did you have your speedo/odometer recalibrated? I was told the dealer can do it, but I don't want to pay them an arm and a leg. What the heck are you doing snapping pics at 75mph!!! Stop that!!

It may seem a bit counter-intuitive, but running higher rpm's keeps auto's in OD longer, which actually improves the mpg. That said, the issue I see with the OPs setup is that he has stock gearing and tires, and is running with OD Off, so his rpm's are up near 3k. OD on should keep him at his stated 65mph driving speeds without much issue, and will raise the mpg's.

For those that go to taller tires, re-gearing to get the freeway rpm's into that mid-2k range is a good thing.
Thanks for the explanation!

I'm running 35" trail grapplers, 2.5" budget boost, winch and XRC full bumper. I also have a superchips on the 87 tune. Right now i'm getting 15 mpg. My drive is 17 miles one way with some hills. Nothing huge though. It shifts in and out of overdrive all the time. Its driveable but i would defenitly recommend regearing at somepoint.

Yes, it was fun when my mom called long distance because she didn't understand why I needed 5 tires....Her "car doesn't need 5". So I had to have her visualize running her 3 normal tires and one roller skate tire to explain the sizes. Needless to say, the visual worked

The majority of the cars out there have a very small spare. You will be fine limping home.
