35's or 37's? Wil 37's actually fit?
I'm looking to upgrade my Rubi 32" BFG's to 35's or preferably 37's. I've got a 4" Pro Comp suspension lift along with the Bushwacker Flat Fenders. My question is, can I run 37's with the 4" lift & Bushwacker flat fenders?
Pro Comp's website says max tire size is 35x12.50R17, but I've heard you can probably install 35's on a stock Rubi (with wider wheels, of course). Local off-road dealer tells me 35's max with 4" lift too. But that's based on stock fenders. These Bushwacker fenders give heaps of tire clearance.
Anyone have a similar set-up? Or actually have pics of your Rubi with similar? Definitely want bigger meats, and would prefer the 37's, nice to know before I fork out the cash. Help!

It should fit, you may rub a little, just trim the pinch seem. You'll need to install longer bump stops.

Shouldn't be an issue, but...
How much actual lift height do you have? What is the backspace on the rims? Have you trimmed your rails and pinch seams? What size bumpstops do you have? Any upgrades on the front axle, or are you planning them?

I'll have to trim the rock rails by 3-4" at the rear & probably trim a little sheet metal in the same area to gain clearance for 37's. Running the stock 17x7.5 wheels right now with 255/75R17 BFG MT's, but will get 17x8.5 or 17x9's with 4.75" backspacing with the 37x12.50R17 tires. Wondering if i'll get tire rub on the front arms under full steering turn. Liking the new BFG Mud Terrain KM2's. Anyone running 37's in these tires?

Thanks for the reply on the backspacing guys, much appreciated. So changing the backspacing on the wheels to 3.75-4" will push the tires farther away from the rub points & avoid wheel spacers? Good to know. Any wheel resellers you recommend who offer 17x9's with this backspacing?
Checked Quadratec & a few other sites, everyone seems to offer the 17x9 wheels in 4.5 or 4.75" backspacing. Don't think I'll have an issue with height clearance for the 37's, just the added width.

I have the aev 3.5 with 4.5 backspacing xenon flats and 37s
no rubbing
and I think I could still fit 38s underneath alittle bigger with some modifications
I did cut the pinch seam though
