Default 35s or 37s for dd?

Hello I have a jeep wrangler unlimited mountain edition and already want to go bigger. It is an auto and I am going to regear.
I'm trying to make a decision because I want to do it soon.
I do some mudding every week or 2
Not Really into crawling yet...
And a big concern is if the Dana 30 front will hold...
Thanks Cameron

35's would be the better match for a dana 30 but, so long as you go easy on the skinny pedal and don't lock up the front axle, you can get your dana 30 to hold out for a while with 37's. in spite of what some will try to suggest, when a break occurs, it will happen at the axle shaft and NOT the housing. i am running this setup now and fully expect to break it someday but, for now, it's doing okay.

yes, i have been for about 4 months now and the only thing i have done to it is install c gussets and sleeves. however, if the prorock 44 was available back when i had them installed, i probably wouldn't have bothered and would have just saved up for the prorock.

WOL are you running this set up on Little Nemo? I am in this exact same situation as the OP. I am going to have ORE build up my Sahara within the next Month or so. I want to go with 37s and its also my DD. I am debating Pro rock or S/G the D30 for now and put the money saved from the pro rock toward other mods. Or my other thought was going with the 35s instead to make it less stressful on the D30 and of course easy on the skinny pedal. Still not sure whats the best thing to do

That should pretty much answer the question for you guys...

There is no comparison between a 30 and a PR44. There isn't 'much' of a comparison between a fully built rubi44 and a PR44.

What Dynatrac thinks of it:
• Over 2 ½ times as strong as a factory Jeep housing!! Over twice as strong as most sleeved and welded housings.
And the new unlimited version has the pinion/caster correction built in!!!

Guess I'm biased, but the PR is just sexy...

And on another note, the 44 will allow you to go to 5.38's. A definite plus for the auto guys moving to bigger tires.

If your thinking of 35's or 37's just go to the 37's. You'll end up there anyway and then you'll be out the cost of your 35's.

As for the 30vs44 just gusset your c's and either sleeve or truss it. You already own it, run it until it pops. Then put in a d60.

I'm running 37's on my daily driver wither D44's, there are time's that I wish I had 35's for better mpg. I would do the 35's on it with a 2.5" or 3" kit.
