First of all it is his rig but 20's do suck on a JEEP second Bully Dog has a performance tuner for $600 ( I I have the E-Mail from them) and the OME 3.5" lift is the SHIT hands down! I am running 35" MTR's on my 13 RUBI with American Outlaw 17"wheels 2"spacers 4.10 gears with no lift and it looks SICK...but a bunch of trimming since I am waiting for the $ to get the lift I had the OME 3.5 from BRC on my 09 Sahara and loved it and it was about $1,600 my wheel and tire combo cost me 3k but you will have to regear because those 3.21's are going to kill you and you will hate it with the 4.10's I can still roll smoke off the 35's but whatever YOU decide to do just do it and have fun don't listen to the haters. I do wheel mine (lightly until the lift is installed,already had to fix the painted fenders from last weekends wheeling trip) and yes we will call you a mall crawler or pavement princess just grow some thick skin and enjoy your JEEP my father retired from the plant where they are built and his retirement checks greatly appreciate the patronage you and everybody else here gives the JEEP BRAND!
I wasn't aware Bully Dog has a tuner that would work for 2011+ Jeeps because of the security protocols in the ECM. I'll check into it.

I like the pocket fenders because it DOES NOT give the Jeep as much of the offroad look that flat fenders do
Not planning on taking my JK offroading ... it's more for around town, hitting the beach, and take snowboarding in the winter
Based on all the input looks like I'm going to stick to 35's but the 37's I saw yesterday looked supermean!!
Now comes the fun part .. which lift kit to go with and how high? Lol

Almost true but why force these types of modifications on a rig that won't ever see dirt or rock? Because it looks nice?? I'd respect the jeep owner more if they spent that money on an electric soft top (
) over axle reinforcements, steering component upgrades, etc... if the Jeep is only seeing pavement.

Hell, it's a bad idea even on pavement. Now with say 17's/18's, not that bad. I've been running 37's w/ 17x8's on basically stock D44 axles for nearly 2 years without issue. I did get upper c's gusseted, but so far that's it. Just replaced factory ball joints back in October/November and the lift & tires went on over a year before that.
So the saying "big tires bend/break axles" isn't always true. Depends on how you drive. If you're bouncing off rocks, then yeah, you'll tear shit up. But if you crawl and don't abuse the skinny pedal, it's possible to keep problems to a minimum.
