I went with 5:13 gears and I'm still shopping for 37" tires.... The rpm's are a little high but the rubi likes it.

The cooper sst are pretty cool and cheap in price I thought about those the nitto trail or mud grapplers and toyo open country are also good 37s I want to run the 13.50 wide so it's either mud grapplers or open country's.

You and me both, my friend. I'm looking at bumping up to a 37. Love my Toyo MT's, but I don't want to run a 13.5" wide tire if I were to get them in a 37. (Also, one that is approaching 100 lbs. for just the rubber )

Goodyear isn't making the MT/R's at the moment, and I've heard good things about the Nitto's, but I just don't like the look of them. Personally, I'm looking at:

Mickey Thompson MTZ's
Cooper STT's
Interco TrXus MT's

...for a good mix of on and off-road in a 37x12.5x17.

Did some checking and found out the bfg km2's are the lightest 37" tire at 70.66 lbs and the mtz's are at 83 lbs. so I am kinda leaning towards the km2 but I wish I could get the wranglers I loved those tires

Which wheels are you considering? I talked to a buddy of mine recently and we brought up the fact that people want to run lightweight tires, but then want to also slap on a set of beadlocks on as well (which can way between 40-50 lbs.), whereas a standard set of alloys are usually between 25-30 lbs each.

That, and the KM2's just didn't seem to have any siping in the tread blocks vs. some other brands (and I just wanted to be a little different. A LOT of people seem to be running the KM2's )

The mud grapplers are really loud, s you know. I'll be getting something different next time around. They look cool as crap (and I couldn't pass up the deal - bought them used), but I wouldn't buy them again. Gas mileage is terrible, too, though they are heavy (and yes, my Spyderlocks are 45lbs each, so the total for my wheel is around 126lbs.
