Nature wasn't made around 35's. Just the trails that man found...

I can't really provide any insight.

Let's be honest: 37s look small on a JKU.

AND...31s on a YJ is A LOT different than 31s on a JK.

1. Do you have to regear when you go up to 35s?
2. Can you mount 33s or 35s on the stock tailgate mount?
3. Will MPG drastically go down with 35s?
4. Are 35s a bad idea for a DD going about 60 miles round trip a day?

Any other big issues I should be aware of between 33s and 35s? I really do want 35s the most, but don't want to if it will seriously affect how I drive or if I'll have to spend thousands more to regear and such.

Thanks for your help!
i run bfg km2 35x12.5x17. i didnt need to re gear. and they handle great on road surprisingly. it is my dd. the only down fall is 12mpg

Nice video Geojeep. It looks like both jeeps had open front diffs too. I agree it takes more skill in choosing a good line when you are running a smaller tire. That said, the 33 versus 35 argument always runs through my head too. 35's look very cool on the JK.

You made the decision to buy a jeep, if it can talk it will begging for min 35" otherwise should have bought something else right? sure 33" is capable but remember why you bought a wrangler in the first place! 35" used to be OMG it's big but nowadays it's expected... 37" are the new 35"...............

Go with 33s. Just make sure you don't park beside any 35s or 37s and you'll be good....hahaha.

If you got the cash go big or stay home.

To close the loop on this thread, I went with big, heavy ass Toyo MT 35s and am LOVING it. Have had them about 2 months now. No regrets. It was this thread that convinced me to go big, so thank you all. 37 fever has already started...

Looks great - did you do anything to raise the third brake light? It seems to be showing just fine.

Actually have my 32" in all those pics. Just got the full size spare last week. Toyos run big and with a spare tire extender on, the tire completely obscures the brake light - fine with me though. A new bumper with tire carrier is a first half Q3 expense for sure!

Go with 35s I had 33s on mine after I lifted it 2.5 inches and they looked tiny. I got some 315/70/17 duratracs now and I love them. I have a stick. But still have my 3.73 gears and have plenty of power. I can still run 6th gear when I need too. And I'm getting about 16 MPG with 35s.
