3" OME HD LT lift. 35" KM2's I"d say this is pretty good articulation.

see that's what i did. bought the bigger lift, and will buy the drive shafts when my stock ones go out. saved me 1k out of the gate.

I was told that if I put the bigger lift in but keep short shocks on I won't have driveline issues. Then when I want more flex I just put longer shocks and driveshaft on.

hmm somewhat true. the higher your lift, the more you offroad, the more you articulate the higher your chances are for ripping that front driveshaft.

here is my three inch ome hd coils with long travel shocks.

I would discourage running too short shocks off road. If you aren't going off road, then there is no reason not to run the correct length shocks.
