Just drove back from work 60miles and reset my MPG reader and in 6th gear at 65MPH I get 25 MPG easy sometimes 26. In the city I get around 19-21. I drive pretty easy but not like a granny. I try to shift around 2100-2200 to keep the RPM's down. Does anyone have an idea why I am getting such good MPG's. It is super flat on the interstate I drive on.
there is just no possible way you get that good as a average, fill your tank up hit the trip meter and let it get to a half a tank and fill it up again. then take your miles driven divided by gallons it took to fill it back up, then post up the MPG's. those MPG readings are highly inaccurate mine said 18.5 all the time but I'm lucky to get 14.5 MPG,s in reality.

I'm gonna give it a try.
The first warm day I get they'll be going on with some flat flares.

I have checked it manually and my reader in the Jeep is only off by 0.5 MPG's. So there IS a possible way I just don't understand why mine is so good.

I have the 3.21 gears in my jeep and I know 35's will make it sluggish but I have almost no hills in my driving area. I do 65 on the interstate with my stock 32's and get 25-26MPG's. Knowing this how bad do you all think the 35's will hurt my interstate millage. I plan to regear in about a year.
Either ditch the idea or regear ASAP.

I've run 37's on 3.73 gears for over a year as a daily driver and have gotten 15-16 city and 24-28 hwy, in the mountains nonetheless. NOT saying that this is a good idea. But i almost never have mine in 6th gear except when going downhill.
also with mild wheeling i've bent the D30... NOT COVERED BY WARRANTY.
so rock the big rubber and have fun but look out for the D wobble!

35" w/3:73 in a manual is fine would be better w/4:88 Auto you can get by w/4:88 but 5:13 are better and all this talk about 20+MPG and 35" and bigger tires I'm calling BS. I must have a hole in my gas tank mine wouldn't get that stock. I would rather use more gas than oil and my motors not run 4000 rps all the time. Just my thoughts
