I'm in a similar boat, but my 6sp has 3.73 gears. Would throwing 35"s on be bearable with this setup?

yes very bearable... 6spd helps a lot, and its not bad at all...

i am in no rush to regear

That is what I have heard for both the 3:21 and 3:73 gears that it's bearable with 35's & 6spd. I am going to risk it and jump to 35's this spring with my 3:73 gear and 6spd and hope I don't need to re-gear for a year or longer and that the mountain passes won't beat my JKU too badly running this setup.

I have been running 34s on stock 3.21 gears for almost a year. It is tolerable but I am regearing soon. I lost 6th completly and must be on highway to use 5th gear. Off road it is difficult to go slow enough. It is doable while you wait to save for gears. With 3.73, u may be ok for long term depending on ur driving habits and off roading.

I don't think 35" are doable on any STOCK axle but the Rubicons...I actually put smaller snow tires on my Sahara 245/75R17 at 30.5" over the 32" stock tires to lower the torque band for winter driving.

wow don't know how anyone gets over 20mpg in a JK even stock????
big tires = bad gas mileage no matter V8 or V6 or supercharger or gears....

I've seen 37's on Non-rubicons so I think 35's are doable. Heck I've got em.

You have 37s on a non lifted? I though the minimum was 2.5 lift for 37s

I try to shift around 2100-2200 to keep the RPM's down. Does anyone have an idea why I am getting such good MPG's. It is super flat on the interstate I drive on.
there is just no possible way you get that good as a average, fill your tank up hit the trip meter and let it get to a half a tank and fill it up again. then take your miles driven divided by gallons it took to fill it back up, then post up the MPG's. those MPG readings are highly inaccurate mine said 18.5 all the time but I'm lucky to get 14.5 MPG,s in reality.
