35s on 2009 Rubi w/Fender Chop
Nube here. Love the site, and my Rubi more. Excuse the nube ?, but will the stock 2009 Rubi Unlimited with fender chop (which I Love!!) need further lift/boost to accommodate 35 in tires?

I am also interested in running 35s on a 2012 rubicon. I am thinking get wheels with 4.5 backspacing and 35s with no lift, now. Then add the lift later. Would like to see pics if anyone has them.
Have heard you need flat flares to do this. Is that correct?

I ran 34s on my 12 Rubi with no lift and rubbed with a loaded Jeep. If you plan to go off road at all you will rip your flares off without a lift. You could probably make it with flat fenders and a little rock rail trim but no flexing on the trail and definitely no disconnecting.
I would run flat fenders and at some point at least a leveling kit.
