You sure you don't have 3:55's? Seem's like 3:21's are a little low for an auto. I have an 11' with auto, 3:55's and 35's.(Duratrac's). It is pretty flat where I live and do not do much hwy driving, but it seems fine to me. I do try to run with O/D off under 50mph, because other wise it with run at about 1100 rpms at 45mph until o/d kicks in, then up to around 2000rpm's.

A regear is on my to do list(4:88's), but since it is ok now, it got pushed down.

Is it ok to run with the O/d off. When we go over the mountain to Pigeon Forge I turn it off but can I run like that for a long distance and not hurt anything?

Yes, it's fine- you're simply keeping it in gear. Now, I would certainly add a trans cooler since you'll be out of OD so often.

Side note....I don't recall too bad of a hill in Pigeon Forge, I was just out there in September to do all of the tourist stuff there on my way back from KY on 75 across to 40.

Even with 5:13's I do not use O.D on the highway unless over 70. The per '12 autos are geared so effin high that if the jeep had the power in stock form it is geared to go 207 mph lol
