Default 35's on a 2 door without regearing?

Is anyone running 35's on their 2 door without regearing? I have 3:21 gears and an automatic and I am thinking about getting a superchips to help with a little power and shifting. My jeep is a 2010 with a 2.5" lift and 33's now.

It'll be a pig. You should be ready for terrible mileage, no power, always driving in o/d off, and no passing power.....hopefully there are no hills close to you or your transmission will enjoy a short life.

So I should probably stick with the 33's and get the superchips. Also will a 305 gain me any tire hight or just width? I was on 4wd website and it showed my 33x12.50 only being something like a 31.5 inch tire and the 285 version being a little taller....

I have 34's on my '12 manual with 3.21's and it's ok, but I live in Florida. With your 3.8 it'll be a dog.

It's doable with 3.21's, but an auto would really make it suck not being able to control the gear, rpms ect. Friend of mine has been running 37" Pitbull rockers (heavy as hell) on his 2010 with 3.21's for over a year. Uses 4th on the highway and I just saving up for a regear (already has the parts). He also just replaced a clutch lol.

Auto I can't recommend nor do i have any experience with it. But 3.21 and 35's on manual isn't as bad as people make it out to be honestly

305 is the width but the second number is the aspect ratio. I have 315/70/17's on mine and they are 34.6" but slightly more narrow than a 35/12.5/17. I believe Nitto (trail grappler)and Toyo (mud country) make a 285/65?/17 that is more narrow than a 12.5" but 34ish inches. I remember seeing it when I was searching for tires.

I have 315/70/17 Mickey Thompson Baja MTZ's on my 2008 with auto and I have had no problems. I have a Rough Country 3.25" lift. My gas mileage dropped about 2 MPG from stock Rubi wheels. Look at the weight difference on what wheels you have versus what you want, just make sure you recal your speedo.

Go for it!

Haha! I'm in Ellijay. Not really familiar with Rockwood. I may steal my brother in laws for a day. He owes me a big favor for installing his front bumper and winch lol.
