My Unlimited W/auto, 4.10 hated 33's. I can only imagine what it would have to say about 35's. And do get the Procal.

The answer to your question depends on the use of your JK. If you wheel it hard every weekend and have a second vehicle as a daily driver, I would recommend you regear as there is a noticeable difference in power, especially when wheeling. However, if you are like me and use your JK as a daily driver, don't wheel it very hard and occassionally (once a month or every two months) go wheeling, then there is no need to regear, especially if you have a 6-speed.
I plan to get 35s this summer and will not be regearing. We have a place in the mountains about 3 hours away and we go every weekend. Driving on the highway for 3 hours at 70mph with 5.13s sucks. I'd much rather have 4.10s for long distance driving. I understand that I'll have to downshift to 4th or 5th gear to go up long stretches of uphill highways, but that's fine. My wheeling consists primarily of loose gravel, dirt roads and muddy trails. Not too much rock climbing, except for certain areas in Uwharrie National Forest.

5.13s are a little deeper with 35s than the 4.10 are with 32s. So the end result is a little more low end umph. You will turn a couple of hundred rpms higher at highway speed and you will still need to correct the speedo

I think much of the difference is perceived. With M/T, you shift when you want to. In other words, you squeeze whatever power there is until you feel you need to shift. With A/T, you're at the mercy of a computer that is programmed to shift at specific engine revolutions (or whenever it wants to).
I've only had 1 A/T vehicle in the 22 years I've been driving and I hated it. Sold it after a year.

I have 35" Dunlop mud terrains on 16" steelies and a manual on my 07 X and you can tell the difference but not that bad. Oh, also 4:10 gears. You guys running 3:73s' or less it must suck.

The difference is not just in how you ar the computer shift. yes that is a factor but the big difference is in the GEARING of the tranny......

With a M/T in 6th gear at 60mph, the RPMs are:
4.10 gears with 32" tires = 2,200
4.10 gears with 35" tires = 2,000
5.13 gears with 32" tires = 2,700
5.13 gears with 35" tires = 2,500
Like I stated before, I think 5.13 is too much if you regularly drive on the highway at speeds over 60mph. 4.56 would probably put you back to stock, but I think you'd be fine with 4.10s and a manual tranny.
