You want these two things:

Spare Tire Carrier Reinforcement:
Off Camber Fabrications 130903 - Off Camber Fabrications Spare Tire Reinforcement Kit for 07-14 Jeep® Wrangler & Wrangler Unlimited JK - Quadratec

Note, for the carrier re-enforcement it comes with a bolt used to snap off the factory nuts on the tail gate, go to the hardware store and by a couple of grade 8 bolts (you will probably go through more than one) of the same size, the one Off Camber Fabs provides will snap on you.

Daystar KJ09144BK - Daystar Tailgate Bump Stops for 07-14 Jeep® Wrangler & Wrangler Unlimited JK - Quadratec (May not need these with the stock wheels)

before i upgraded to a new bumper with tire carrier, i had a 35" spare on the stock carrier. the tire rested perfectly on the bumper, which i think would help relieve any stress from the heavier wheel/tire combo. but i was using aftermarket wheels with 4.75 backspacing. i'd guess that a 35 on a stock wheel will hit the bumper before the tailgate is properly closed. so you might need a wheel spacer... but i could be wrong.

You can use a spacer bracket, but I would make it a short term solution.

Do you wheel hard? If not you'll be fine mounting on the tailgate. If you wheel hard definitely get a reinforcement.

If you run a 35 you need Teraflex 1907200 - TeraFlex Spare Tire Extension Bracket for 97-14 Jeep® Wrangler TJ, TJ Unlimited, JK, Wrangler Unlimited JK - Quadratec. It moves the tire up to clear the bumper but will block the stock 3rd brake light. Also you will need to extend the bump stops on the rear door.

I have this setup it works great. I have stock 18" wheels and I had to have the Daystar bump stops.

You will need to do something, my 285/75-17s (34") sit real tight on the bumper, I'll get a picture and add it in just a bit
