20" wheels will look bad on a JK. As mentioned previously, they will seriously hamper off road performance with 20' wheels. Jeeps were made for 15-18" wheels. I you want to run 20"+ tires put them on a pimped out Escalade and the tuner crowd will give you a big

Depends on how loud you play the thumper music.
At a normal sound level they'll look dorky.
THUMPITY, THUMP, THUMP and they'll look OK.

I like to go off of rim to tire ratio off no bigger than half the tire

I would not do 22 on anything offroad unless it was a steel wheel which is going to be something custom made and running vtreads

44s - 40 = 20

39s - 36 = 18

35s - 34 = 17

33s - 32 = 16

anything smaller 15

I would stick with 17s for off-roading, 20s are more for show than GO!
