Default 35" tires and towing

What can I safely tow with the tow package, manual tranny and 35" tires?

I am considering tires no bigger than 33" because I tow a 1200 lb boat, but can I go with 35" without regearing?

I'd say no. I wouldn't reccomend 35's at all without a regear. It will already be a pig without new gears. X2 with the extra load behind you.

Before to many people start talking without Experiance.. I myself tow a 4000# trailer with 35's just about every weekend.. And guess what I can still use 6th gear.. Sure I got to down shift on the hills to 5th..

I've got a Rubicon with 4.10's....
Granted the intake / exhaust helped a lot..

You'll be much better off than the auto guys since you have the manual. I'd say that you'd be just OK... you'll probably loose 6th with anything slightly resembling an incline but you'll still be OK. The difference between 33" and 35" will be slightly noticable but not too bad since you have the manual.

You'd be MUCH happier w/a regear... but I'd say it is getting closer to personal preference and what you're willing to accept (since you have a manual).

I have 4.10's now and I can barely use 6th gear with my trailer at 3240lbs....
I have bone stock, with Airiad....

The biggest change came with the Exhaust.. Your getting all the air into it but it can't get out.. Keep in mind the JK has 4 Catalytic converters.. I pulled 2.. One on each side.. Way Better... It now pulls much harder on the freeway..

I just recently pulled a double jetski trailer loaded and could hardly tell they were back there. I think you would be just fine with this 35's. I am bone stock except for wheels and tires.
