Do yourself a favour and get a lift....cost is marginal compared to buying tyres...

Narrow flares would have looked better IMO, even with the spacers it has the stock wagon train look, yet a few people like to have the protection, not sure where you stand with it. Cool though that it looks lifted with these flares

No idea on backspacing but I would prefer to use the MOABs I already have with some spidertrax spacers.

Thanks.
It will absolutely rub when flexing, spacers with the stock moabs will be required for no-rub turning. Just do a TF 2.5 budget boost if not a real lift.

I really like the narrow flares, but on my old YJ I had some 12.5" MT's on stock flares and I must have gotten >3 tickets for having insufficient wheels flares. Didn't want the same problem with this Jeep.. too bad too because Im sure the narrow flares would look better.

Now im just gonna save a few more nickels and buy some tires/wheels, I pretty much decided on some 295 75 r16 nitto terra grapplers (33.3" diameter) on some soft 8's, cheap, should work well as a daily driver, all while using less gas and making my JK a little better in the dirt. AND Im not lifting, or at least dont plan on it anyway, As much as I would love to I dont get to wheel it enough to justify the modification..

Well that is the key, if you don't wheel that much then it becomes a financial waste to throw money into these Jeeps, it'll look good. Some states I guess have laws where tires can't stick out past. We must be lucky here in TX because it's absolutely ridiculous how a lot of them stick out....

Raising the wheel wells up 1" theoretically gives enough room for a 2" taller tire since only half of the diameter sits above the axles. A 1" body lift and flat fenders should be able to clear 35s at full stuff without any problems. Plus it will keep the center of gravity low and will look awesome.
So has anyone done this, or seen it done. I am thinking seriously about doing this.
