Default 35 question from future 35er

I am not ever going to regear. Many reasons. Not important. Question is...am I going to enjoy what my jeep can do mostly as a daily driver or am I going to regret not just doing 33 instead. I have 4.10 gearing now with manual. Thanks as always for your educated responses.

I put 35s on my 2012 (read: 3.6L) DD with 4.10s about a month ago. The Jeep should roll out of the factory like this. I was planning on regearing, but I waited to see how it drove. Glad I did because, for me, it's better than stock this way. More of my personal opinion, do some axle reinforcement before you go up to the bigger tires. Also seriously consider upgrading your spare carrier. Other than that, don't hesitate.

You'll be totally fine, especially with 4.10 and 6 speed. Don't even sweat it. I drive an auto with 3.73, and I'm fine.

I had an auto with 3.73's and didn't notice a big difference. I now have 6sp with 4.10's and 37's and still drive 15K miles a year with zero regrets.

I also have a 2012 with the 3.6 six speed and 35 inch MT Mtz's. Went from 3.21 gears to 4.10 and now the Jeep is much easier to enjoy as a daily driver. I can now use sixth gear which was not an option before re-gearing. I fretted long and hard as to whether going 4.56 or 4.10 but figured I would be fine since the new engine is much better. You already know that the 35's look much better than the 33's...they just seem to fit just right....Oh by the way I am running the RK 3.25 lift..makes it look like it was meant to be. You did not mention what year you have as this will make a difference if you don't have the 3.6 motor.

2012 w/6-spd manual here; running 35's (actually 315/76-16) GYW Duratracs on my 2dr Rubicon with 3" OME lift and no problems with the 4.10 stock gearing; I run about 2350 RPM's on hwy (flat straight-aways or mild inclines) at 70 MPH in 6th gear; don't forget to use a Procal to recalibrate your speedo and tire size; I set mine to 33.5" (measured at cold 30 psi from ground to top of shoulder) and results are very accurate based on my iphone GPS readings over a 40-50 mile hwy run.

Based on cost, I would only re-gear if you had 3.21 or 3.73 and had the funds, otherwise save your money for gas, LOL!, or other mods, I think you''ll be happy with the 4.10's and manual, most 35's run a little smaller than nominal, regardless, and yes the 35's do look better than 33's with stock flares, if you still have 'em, IMHO.

Regards!

Sorry. I have a 2007 unlimited. I hope that doesn't change too much. As for a lift. That will be the next step

With a manual you will be fine. I run 35's with 4.10's on an auto, and it is fair, but would be awful with anything higher

You will be fine. I regeared to 4.10 when I had 33s now I have small 35s, and I am happy with it.
