35 inch tires and a factory spare
#11
The OP's question was for an emergency situation of less than 100 miles what would you do....
Obviously the answer for long term, everyday use would be get the correct size tire.
By putting the odd size tire on the front axle as opposed to the rear axle will keep the differential happy (or less pissed off). Will the computer complain? Probably yes.
Someone mentioned a Ford Explorer...many of those are full time all wheel drive. If that is the case then all 4 tires must be the same diameter.
A Jeep Wrangler does not have a full time all wheel drive system....yet....
Hope that helps

IM sure there are people who wheel without a spare (including me).. but i make sure my buddies have one or vise-versa. It is ok to wheel as long as one is covered by the other. with the same wheel size of course.Make sense.

What would you do if you had a flat on the way to work?

I have a matching spare but honestly If I had a flat on the way to work, I would call AAA since I don't have a jack to get me high enough off the ground. I don't wheel alone so I would use one of my buddies Hi-Lift's to get changed on the trail.
BTW... I have been running oversized tires on various vehicles for more than 10 years and have never once had a flat (knock on wood). I have been towed for mechanical break downs so having AAA is my insurance.
I am trying to decide if I should by a Hi-Lift jack but have read that they can be very dangerous... (not trying to hi-jack thread, just saying... I have read it on other posts here).
