Default 35 inch Duratrac's

Does anyone have any experience with the 315/75R16 Goodyear Wrangler DuraTracs? I am looking at them as possible new shoes after my jeep gets lifted this weekend.

I have heard a lot about their 33 inch tires and the general consensus seems to be pretty positive. I haven’t been able to find as much info about the 35’s. It looks like this is their only 35 inch tire on a 16 inch wheel, and I am concerned that they may be a little stiff, being load range E’s.

Would I be better off with the 315/70R17 (load range D)? That set-up is a little more expensive and I would prefer the smaller wheels if it isn’t going to compromise my ride quality too much.

Thanks for your wisdom,

I dont have them, but I'd stay away from load range E if you are concerned about the ride quality. Depending on how much more you are willing to spend, I'd get the 17's and load range D. You'll be happier with the ride quality.

Default E

I have BFG 305/65/18's AT's in an E grade and it's the last E's I'll put on. The side wall is to stiff. They'll probably last forever milage wise but they're to stiff of a sidewall for anything but a 1 ton truck. Even aired down they're stiff and with an 18" rim unless you have at least 37's there's not much sidewall.

Maybe so, but you've got a lot more sidewall than I do on my KR Mustang with 285/30/20s. I don't care for the load range E ride either when I had them on my FJ Cruiser.
