Default 34in Tires

I have been trying to decide between 33 and 35in tires, but have recently found out that there is a 34in Goodyear MTR tire. Will these fit on an 08' rubi with a 2 1/2 bb. And does anyone have any experience with these tires, are they recommended?

I ran that size (305/70/17) on a 2" BB without issue. Great setup. That size was Maxxis Bgihorns.

I'm now running the MTR's in 37x12.50x17's. So far they're great on road. Haven't had a chance to wheel them yet.

From what I've heard, they're a great tire except in heavy mud. Rotate them often to keep the wear even.

34" are also available in Interco Trxus MTs.

I have the 33's but my buddy has the 34's and loves them. Highly recommended. Check out my gallery for close ups of the tread.

Look at the 285/75R17 MT TOYO ....... 34.1" tall, and recommended for 7.5" rims.

Sdhexpert - so you are running them on the stock wheels with no wheel spacers? Any rubbing? Like dmarco1103 I’m thinking of a 2 or 2.5 BB lift, and if these tires fit on the stock rims with no rubbing it sure makes the upgrade a bit cheaper!

I'm not sure if they will fit on stock rims, i have different wheels which have a 4.5in backspace. I've been told that anything much more than that will cause rubbing and I think that the stock rims have around a 6.25in backspace. Although I may be wrong

Yes, I'm running with no spacers but I do have minor rubbing on the front at max turn. I just try not to crank the wheels when turning. I haven't looked close but I think I can fix it by adjusting the turning stops. To me this is an acceptable compromise instead of the spacers (just don't have a good feeling about) or having to purchase new rims. I may get new rims in the future, but for right now it is not that big of a problem.

Had to get a spacer (expedition one) for the spare tire rack, and now must deal with the 3rd light issue.

No such size for a Toyo M/T:

it's either a 285/70R17 which 33x11.5R17 or 295/70R17 which is 33.5"x12R17.
