34" MT's???
#31
I think that I am going with a 34" Trxus Mt. It is avaliable in a 16". As far as wheels go, I need 4.5" or less backspacing from what I have read. I have only found 16" black steel's in a 8" width. The tires call for a 8.5 mininum width. Any suggestions? Will I run into issues trying to jam the tires on those rims?

LordEgg, I am in Shelbyville KY.... We'll have to hook up and go wheelin'.
Jeepercreeper, Man I love those tires! I was trying to save a little $ by buying steel wheels instead of spacers and selling my Ruby wheels and tires. I just don't know.

I found some 305/65/R18 BFG A/T's for my 18" Sahara wheels. They are going for $222. They measure 33.7 inches. Do you guys think a 2" lift would handle this? I hear good things about the Rubicon Express or might wait on Old Man Emu.
This is the best deal I have found on an tire that will fit my 18's and I think 34" is the best tire size.

I was really pleased with how they performed offroad. Only had them out once so far though. I would think they'd be at least as good as the BFG's offroad, maybe better in the mud since it looks like the bighorns have slightly bigger voids in the tread lugs and may not load up w/ mud as easily. This is just specualtion though.

This tire was near the top of my list too. Neck and neck w/ the Iroks, made by the same company. For my next set of tires, I'll have to choose between these 2. 34" are as big as they make the Bighorns for a 17" wheel. 8" wide is fine, as long as you are talking a 12.0 or a 12.5" wide tire. I wouldn't go any wider on 8".
