33x10.50r15 good or bad idea
Its coming time for me to get new tires and ive been tossing around the idea of dropping down to a 15 inch steel wheel and running 33s. I already have spidertrax 1.5 inch spacers so i believe they will fit just fine.
Reasons for considering 15's:
Cheaper version of the wheels i want by almost 50 bucks a peice
Cheaper tires by roughly 30 bucks a peice
Tires are lighter weight with more sidewall so they should ride better and save some gas mileage
Thoughts?
Is this a good or bad idea?
Input is much appreciated.

The only downside I saw when considering going to 15s was eliminating the possibility of future upgrades. Almost all aftermarket steering components require a 17in wheel. All aftermarket brake upgrades require a 17in wheel. This was my reasoning for sticking with 17s.
There are also many more tire options for 17s than there are for 15s.

15's are fine and I ran stock steering components for 140k miles while playing with 33's. It is absolutely cheaper for tires and when you're in a small town, 15" tires are about all they stock.
I only bumped to 17's because I got a ridiculous deal on tires and already had a spare set of wheels in the garage. Unfortunately space got tight and my 15" wheels had to go but I'd consider going back to them.

None at all in regards to tire size. My losses are due to an aggressive lug pattern.

I'm running 15s with 33s on my jk no problems, but that are not steel wheels though. Been about 15 months now. But I am switching to 17s soon though because I am going 35s. I only would recommend buying wheels once.
